Passengers who were on a recent Air Canada flight that landed in Nanaimo are being warned about possible exposure to COVID-19.
The British Columbia Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) added Air Canada flight 8265 from Vancouver to Nanaimo on Dec. 15 to its COVID-19 exposure list on Monday evening.
The affected rows on the flight were 5 to 11.
The addition comes a few days after the BCCDC Air Canada/Jazz flight 8261 from Vancouver to Nanaimo on Dec. 13 to the exposure list. The affected rows on that flight were 8 to 14.
BCCDC says passengers who were on a flight that has been added to the province’s COVID-19 exposure list should self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days and those who were sitting in rows identified are considered to be at a higher risk of exposure due to their proximity.
Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, chills, cough or worsening of chronic cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, loss of sense of smell or taste, runny nose, headache and fatigue.
