Emergency personnel are at the scene of a single-vehicle crash involving a BC Transit bus Monday night that has blocked a section of the Trans Canada Highway in Langford.

BC Emergency Health Services says they were called around 6:30 p.m. for a report of a crash between Leigh Road and Millstream Road.

Emergency crews found a northbound BC Transit on its side, with the driver the lone occupant.

Although it was estimated to reopen early Tuesday morning, Drive BC said shortly before 10 p.m. the closure of the northbound lanes between Leigh Road and Goldstream Avenue had ended.

BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) says one person was transported to hospital and is considered in stable condition.

There are no details released about the crash.

Further north on the Malahat, a semi-truck spun out and caused a lengthy delay for northbound traffic near Shawnigan Lake Road.

Drive BC says that situation was cleared shortly before 7.

This is a developing story. Updates as they become available.
