Missing man Ottavio Cutillo has been found dead, according to Oceanside RCMP.
Oceanside RCMP say missing man Ottavio Cutillo, last seen Sept. 8, was found dead Thursday.
Cutillo, 60, was reported missing on Monday.
RCMP found Cutillo’s vehicle along the Alberni Highway in Parksville that same day, saying he likely abandoned it after it broke down.
On Monday, RCMP teamed up with Arrowsmith Search and Rescue to conduct a search, with family and investigators “very concerned” for Cutillo’s health.
On Thursday evening, RCMP said his body was found.
“Although a full determination has yet to be made, RCMP do not believe that criminality was involved in the man’s sudden death,” police said in a news release.
The BC Coroners Service is now investigating Cutillo’s death.
