Additional employees at a grocery store in the Cowichan Valley have become infected with the novel coronavirus.

According to an updated notice posted on Loblaws Inc.’s website on Feb. 26, “multiple” people working at the Real Canadian Superstore in Duncan have tested positive for COVID-19.

Loblaws does not disclose the number of employees who tested positive for when they last worked.

The update comes after Loblaws had previously announced a total of three people working at the Duncan store had become infected with the deadly virus.

CHEK News has reached out to Loblaws for comment.

Ontario-based Loblaws Inc. is the parent company of both Real Canadian Superstore and Shoppers Drug Mart.
