The popular game show, Jeopardy!, has revealed the final set of guest hosts that will take their turn asking the questions this season following the passing of Alex Trebek.

In an announcement made by the show, the four names revealed that will step into the hosting spotlight this season include Levar Burton, George Stephanopoulos, Robin Roberts, and David Faber.

Levar Burton, the former host and executive producer of PBS’s “Reading Rainbow,” and a lifelong children’s literacy advocate, was one of the popular names suggested by social media advocates to replace Trebek, following his passing last November.

Following the announcement of his guest hosting gig, Burton took to social media to thank fans for their outpouring of support.

“I am overjoyed, excited, and eager to be guest-hosting Jeopardy!, and will do my utmost best to live up to your faith you in me. YOU MADE A DIFFERENCE! Go ahead and take my word for it, this time,” tweeted Burton on Wednesday.

Over the course of Burton’s acting and directing career, he has earned 13 Emmy Awards, a George Foster Peabody Award, and a Grammy Award.

George Stephanopoulos is an award-winning journalist that currently serves as ABC News’ chief anchor and co-anchor of “Good Morning America.”

Robin Roberts, co-anchor of ABC’s “Good Morning America” as well, is a member of the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame, as well as the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame.

David Faber is a former Celebrity Jeopardy! champion who serves as the co-anchor of CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street.”

Finally, Joe Buck, a Sports Emmy-winning sportscaster and three-time recipient of the National Sportscaster of the Year award who is known for his NFL and MLB coverage on Fox network.

This will mark the final set of celebrity guest hosts for this season of the show, which have included names like Jeopardy!’s Greatest of All Time and consulting producer Ken Jennings and former Super Bowl champion, Aaron Rogers.

Currently taking their turn at the hosting podium is Anderson Cooper – a multi-award-winning anchor on CNN.

The well-established journalist will be hosting for the next two weeks from Monday, April 19 to Friday, April 30.

As part of the hosting gig, each celebrity that takes a turn will have money donated to a charity of their choice — amounts equaling the total winnings of the contestants in the weeks that they appear.

For Cooper, he will be hosting in support of two charities: The Albert Schweitzer Hospital and Justice Defenders.

Following Cooper, the hosts still to come are:

  • Bill Whitaker – May 3rd, 2021 – May 14th, 2021
  • Myam Bialik – May 31st, 2021 – June 11th 2021
