Submissions are now closed and the five name finalists have been chosen for the new Saanich bike-lane sweeper.
Now all that’s left is for the public to vote on which of the five names will ultimately be used for the sweeper.
Saanich says over 250 names were submitted in the first portion of the Name That Sweeper contest.
Public Works staff reviewed the names and narrowed them down to five — Curby, Lightning McClean, Sweepasaurus Rex, Sweeping Beauty and Sweep Pea.
Voting on the names will be open until May 25 on Saanich’s engagement website, then the final name will be announced on May 27.
