The ‘First Peoples Gallery’ and ‘Old Town’ haven’t seen visitors since the third floor closed to museum visitors in January, but Tuesday, the province and Royal BC Museum announced that is about to change.

The beloved ‘Old Town’ is set to reopen to visitors on July 29.  Royal BC Museum CEO, Alicia Dubois, says you can expect the historical streets and storefronts to look very similar, but there will be additions of more information and context.

The First Peoples Gallery will be accessible to Indigenous communities wanting to collaborate on how the museum should share Indigenous stories moving forward.
