Take a closer look at your trees and shrubs for unique growths, ‘Plant Galls’ may have formed with insects inside

The Royal BC Museum is studying the fascinating, fuzzy formations caused by insects. The phenomena is found on several local trees and shrubs and is caused when certain insects lay their eggs.  An entomologist on staff at the museum explains the unique structures.
