West Shore RCMP report that Shirita Beans has been found safe.

West Shore RCMP is reaching out to the public for help in locating a 16-year-old who was reported missing just under one week ago.

Police say that Shirita Beans, a 16-year-old Indigenous girl, was reported missing back on April 19 and her whereabouts is still currently unknown. Beans is described as standing at approximately five feet tall and weighing 106 pounds. She has black and blonde hair and typically wears glasses. Police note that she can go by the alias Simone Beans.

Beans was last seen wearing a green sweatshirt, black and silver tank top, red nurse scrub pants black Nike shoes and carrying a yellow Vans bag.

Police are concerned for Shirita Beans’ health and well-being.

In an interview with CHEK News on Sunday, her sister Melody Bruce, said her sister goes by the name Simone Bruce but that Beans is her legal last name.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Beans is urged to contact their local police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
