Lambrick Park Secondary grad Nick Pivetta struck out eight of the first nine batters he faced yesterday, but it wasn’t enough for the Philadelphia Phillies to defeat the San Diego Padres.
Pivetta would strike out 11 hitters, a career high over five innings, but gave up three runs on five hits and three walks in a 3-0 loss.
On the year, the former Victoria HarbourCat sports a 4-8 record, boasting a 6.25 earned run average.
