WATCH: Victoria’s Brent McMahon decimated the competition in Whistler this weekend, as he won his first Ironman Canada by more than five minutes.
The 37-year-old, originally from Kelowna, is a two-time Olympian and ran, biked and swam his way in 37-degree weather to capture the victory. Temperatures on the road surface reached 57 degrees Celsius. McMahon completed the event in 8:31:33.
