Victoria Special Olympian perseveres his way to the podium

WATCH: For Victoria’s Michael Langridge, the road to the podium was not an easy one.

He always had the passion for sports, but finding a game for Michael, especially in his teens, became increasingly difficult.

Dealing with multiple conditions, Michael was on the verge of giving up sports altogether. Luckily, Michael found Special Olympics BC, and he found his calling. Michael would go on to win two gold medals in Alpine Skiing at the 2018 Special Olympics World Games in Austria, and this past month Michael was awarded the Special Olympics BC Athletic Achievement Award for his performance.
