
Victoria police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the fatal crash between a driver and a pedestrian on Wednesday to come forward.
Shortly before 9 a.m. on July 15, VicPD called to the 700-block of Hillside Avenue for a report of a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle.
Police said a nearby witness provided medical aid to the victim until the Victoria Fire Department and B.C. Emergency Health Services paramedics arrived.
The pedestrian was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, where she later died.
Police said the crash occurred as 8:47 a.m. Anyone who witnessed this collision, or has dashcam footage from the 700-block of Hillside Avenue, is asked to call the VicPD non-emergency line at (250) 995-7654 and select option 1 for the report desk.

Police said the investigation into the crash is ongoing. The name and the age of the woman who died has not been released.
