Victoria police seek witnesses to stabbing in Centennial Square

According to the Victoria Police Department, a man was stabbed in Centennial Square around 6 p.m. Saturday following a verbal confrontation.

Investigators are asking for witnesses and information about two suspects after a stabbing in Centennial Square this evening.

According to the Victoria Police Department, a man was stabbed in Centennial Square around 6 p.m. on Saturday following a verbal confrontation with a part Caucasian man who was wearing a green shirt and displayed a knife on his waistband. After the stabbing, police said, the victim ran away but was chased by a different man.

At some point, the victim encountered officers and was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The stabbing suspect is described as a partly Caucasian man with dreadlocks and was accompanied by a husky dog at the time of the incident.

Meanwhile, the second suspect – the one who allegedly chased the victim – is described as a male between the ages of 25 and 30 with long hair and aviator sunglasses.

Victoria police have not located either suspect and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact 911 immediately.
