The Victoria Police Department is seeking witnesses as they search for a suspect who threw a rock at a passing vehicle.

The Victoria Police Department is seeking witnesses as they search for a suspect who threw a rock at a passing vehicle.

In a police release issued on Tuesday, VicPD said that officers with the Investigation and Support Unit (ISU) received a report about the incident at around 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6.

Police say that officers were told an unknown pedestrian had thrown a rock at a vehicle that was stopped at the intersection of Rock Bay Avenue and Gorge Road East.

The vehicle is described by police as a taupe 1994 Toyota Camry.

In a picture sent along in the release, damage can be seen in the form of a sizeable dent under the driver’s side passenger window.

The suspect is described as a 20-year-old man standing five feet, ten inches tall with a slim build.

Police note that the man had blonde hair and wore a blue medical mask, a black hooded sweater, and jeans.

He was last seen leaving the area southbound on Rock Bay Avenue

The suspect was also reported to be intoxicated by drugs or alcohol.

Investigators believe that there were several other vehicles and witnesses in the area of Rock Bay Avenue and Gorge Road East at the time of the mischief, according to the report.

VicPD is hoping to speak with anyone who might have been in the area or has information about the incident.
