Six men have been arrested after Victoria Police discovered another man had been allegedly kidnapped and assaulted with a weapon inside an apartment suite.

Vic-PD says shortly before 11 p.m. on Sep. 7, officers responded to a report of a loud domestic disturbance in a suite in a multi-unit residential building in the 1300-block of Hillside Avenue.

At the scene, officers learned there had not been a domestic dispute, but rather a man had been assaulted with a weapon and was kidnapped from the suite by six suspects.

Police say the victim was transported out of Victoria in a vehicle and continued to be assaulted with weapons.

Vic-PD says the suspects stopped the vehicle and the victim escaped, where he found a safe location and contacted police.

The victim was later taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

On Tuesday night, Victoria Police arrested three suspects related to the incident, and the the three others were apprehended on Wednesday.

Police released the names of the six men arrested:

Miles Anton Brown, a 27-year-old Calgary man, is charged with one count of kidnapping and one count of assault with a weapon;

William Ricardo Miranda, a 28-year-old Calgary man, is charged with one count of kidnapping and one count of assault with a weapon;
