During the arrest, VicPD officers searched the man and discovered two knives and a fake handgun.
Victoria Police Department patrol officers seized a replica handgun and two knives during an arrest of a man wanted by the West Shore RCMP.
While conducting proactive patrols in the Burnside Gorge neighbourhood, patrol officers spotted the wanted man in the 400-block of Gorge Road East just before 4 p.m. on Thursday.
The man was wanted in regards to a file by the West Shore RCMP after he allegedly fled from police.
During the arrest, VicPD officers searched the man and discovered two knives and a fake handgun.
The man was taken to the West Shore RCMP for their file and held for court the following morning.
