The Victoria Police Department is looking for witnesses after a man was allegedly assaulted in Centennial Square on Sunday night, resulting in significant injuries.

Detectives are looking for witnesses to the alleged assault, which took place on June 14 just after 8 p.m. Authorities believe that a weapon was involved as part of the alleged incident.

Patrol officers were called to Centennial Square after hearing reports of an injured man. When they arrived, they discovered the man, unconscious and with significant injuries to his face.

The victim was rushed to hospital, where his injuries were found to be non-life-threatening.

The investigation remains ongoing and there have been no arrests.

Detectives are looking to speak with witnesses who have information about this incident.
