Victoria police are once again asking for the public’s help in locating Ian Indridson, a local man who went missing roughly two years ago.

Indridson, 54, was last seen on Jan. 10, 2022, and his sudden disappearance remains an open investigation.

VicPD categorizes Indridson as a “high-risk missing person” due to the out-of-character nature of his disappearance, and because his health or well-being may potentially be in danger.

Back when the search first began, Indridson’s sister, Vicky Istace, told CHEK News that she was gutted over his disappearance.

“This isn’t anything I would wish upon anyone,” she said on Jan. 19, 2022. “This is out of the ordinary.”

Istace told CHEK News that she would speak to Indridson every few weeks, and that he was always considered a funny, loving, intelligent and family-oriented person.

Police describe Indridson as a white man who stands 5’11” with a slim build. He has short grey and black hair, and he is believed to have been wearing black sweatpants, a dark-coloured Eddie Bauer sweater and black rubber boots at the time of his disappearance.

Anyone with information on Indridson who has not yet spoken with police is asked to call the E-Comm Report Desk at 250-995-7654, extension 1, or contact Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers anonymously online or at 1-800-222-8477.

Otherwise, anyone who spots him is asked to call 911 immediately.
