Ian Indridson, now 55, is still sought by Victoria Police, who are asking the public for information on the anniversay of him vanishing.

Despite a year-long search by Victoria Police, 55-year-old Ian Indridson remains missing and his loved ones continue to search for answers.

Indridson was last seen the morning of Monday, Jan. 10, when investigators believe he may have gone to an area near the ocean.

Victoria Police have classified him as a high-risk missing person, as they believe his health or well-being may be in immediate danger, due to the out-of-character nature of his disappearance.

The past year has been a difficult one for Indridson’s family and friends as the mystery surrounding his sudden disappearance remains unsolved.

According to his sister Vicky Istace, who spoke to CHEK News in January 2022, Indridson is a funny, intelligent, loving and family-oriented.

“This isn’t anything I would wish upon anyone. This is out of the ordinary,” she said, noting she would speak with him every few weeks.

Victoria Police also reported that Indridson, described as a respected community member, husband, son and uncle, has sleep deprivation issues and was on medication for insomnia “which may have compromised his mental capacity.”

Indridson, who resides in Victoria’s Fairfield-Oak Bay area, is described as 5’11” with a slim build and short salt and pepper hair.

Police are re-releasing a photo of Indridson and continue to appeal to the public for help.

They urge anyone who may have seen him or has any information on his whereabouts to come forward by contacting them at 250-995-7654, extension 1 or Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
