VicPD investigating string of explicit phone calls targeting female staff at businesses

Victoria police are investigating a string of sexually explicit phone calls targeting female staff at Victoria businesses.

Each one was said to be made anonymously by a male caller who investigators believe may be the same person.

Officials say they have received nine reports of the unwanted calls over the past six months.

Police are asking the public to write down the date and time and what was said or any identifying information like tone and specific words or phrases used if they receive calls of a similar nature.

The public is then advised to contact Victoria Police at 250-995-7654 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
