A Victoria woman says she is excited to spend more time with her family after winning $675,000 from a Scratch & Win ticket she purchased at Hillside Shopping Centre.

Angella Gordon-Spence won the prize from a “Set For Life” ticket.

Players who win the grand prize can choose a weekly payment of $1,000 over a period of 25 years which equals $1.2 million, or a lump sum payment of  $675,000.

Gordon-Spence made the discovery soon after validating it following her purchase of it from a store. The odds of winning the grand prize are one in 508,333.33.

“I immediately told my husband, he was so shocked, he couldn’t believe it. We were both so happy,” she said in a statement.

“It’s been my favourite Scratch & Win ticket… I must have looked at the ticket a million times after I won, thinking it must be a dream.”

Gordon-Spence adds that she plans to host a nice dinner for family to celebrate and to take them on a vacation to Mexico, where she will decide what to do with the rest of the winnings.

There are a total of 14 prizes that can be won, ranging from the free ticket to the grand prize. Each ticket costs $5.

The announcement comes after a Sidney man won $500,000 from the Lotto 6/49 draw on June 27.
