Two teens face multiple charges after allegedly fleeing police and crashing a stolen pick-up truck.

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP were alerted that the truck had been stolen from a welding shop in Duncan around 1:30 p.m. Monday.

Police then received reports that the same truck had been involved in a minor collision with a tow truck in Cowichan Bay

The vehicle was then located with the help of the public but sped away from police.

There was no pursuit because of safety concerns but the truck was located soon after back in Duncan

Two males, aged 15 and 16, now face charges of theft over $5000, possession of property obtained by a crime over $5000, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
