A new study shows Victoria is one of the top cities in Canada for a night on the town, according to tourists.
Vervesearch and 888poker analyzed more than 6,000 TripAdvisor reviews of nightlife attractions in the largest and most-visited cities in the country.
The website said each city and neighborhood in the analysis is ranked by the “percentage of four and five star reviews of their nightlife attractions as posted by locals and tourists.”
The study included bars, night clubs, casinos, theatre, comedy clubs, music venues, karaoke, cabarets and street markets.
According to tourists, Victoria is number one for “best city in Canada for a night out”.

Victoria also ranked first for best bars and pubs at 79.5 per cent.

Although it didn’t rank first, Victoria was third on the list for nightclubs and music venues behind Vancouver, Quebec City, Calgary and Toronto.
Similar to tourists, locals named Victoria for bars and pubs at 79.3 per cent, but bumped the city down to second for “best city in Canada for a night out”.
