Suspect in Esquimalt stabbing arrested in Oak Bay
A man wanted in connection with a stabbing incident in Esquimalt on Saturday was arrested in Oak Bay later the same day.
Oak Bay Police report that they assisted VicPD in searching for the suspect.
Victoria Police says officers were called to the 1200 block of Colville Road for an assault with a weapon.
The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
An Oak Bay Police officer found the suspect behind Oak Bay High School and spoke with him until VicPD officers arrived on the scene.
The suspect was arrested without incident and later released on a promise to appear in court with conditions.
VicPD says the investigation is ongoing and does not believe there is any risk to the public at this time.
