The RCMP and Juan de Fuca Search and Rescue are searching for a missing 35-year-old woman in the Otter Point area in Sooke.
Juan de Fuca SAR says the woman was first reported missing by her family to the RCMP after not returning from a hike Saturday night.
Search and rescue crews were called in Sunday morning by the RCMP, and are out at Otter Ridge with 25 members.
Officials say family members became concerned when they noticed the woman’s wallet and other belongings were left at home, and that the woman said she was only going out for a hike.
