Nanaimo RCMP are circulating images from an alleged break-in at a hair salon in an effort to track down a pair of suspects who made off with high-end tools.

Just before 6 a.m., April 25, Nanaimo police responded to a glass break alarm at Cosmo Prof, a hair salon at 1925 Bowen Rd.

When authorities arrived, they found the front door of the business had been smashed out.

Mounties patrolled the area for any suspects but didn’t find anyone they believed to be in connection to the incident.

The owner of the business later confirmed with police that several high-end hair clippers and shears were stolen.

Surveillance cameras at the business captured the two suspects, but their exact identities remain unknown.

“While both suspects were wearing masks, police are confident that they may be identified from the clothing that was worn,” said Gary O’Brien, Nanaimo RCMP spokesperson.

“It should be noted that at least one of the suspects appears [to] be a woman.”

Anyone with information that could assist authorities in solving this case are urged to contact the  Nanaimo RCMP by calling their non-emergency line at 250-754-2345.
