A BC Transit Bus and an Amazon courier van collided near the 700-block of Yates Street Thursday.
No one was injured, but the two vehicles both sustained “significant” damage, according to a BC Transit spokesperson.
The incident forced drivers to steer clear of the incident, as the two large vehicles sat in the middle of Yates while investigators cleared the scene.
“The bus was driven back to the Victoria Transit Centre and there was some lost service as a result of the incident,” said Jamie Weiss, spokesperson for BC Transit.
“Our top priority is safety, and we will also be conducting an investigation into this incident.”
Images from the scene show the windshield on the bus badly damaged and the transit van missing the driver side mirror.
