The Saanich Police have issued an alert to the area around Cordova Bay after receiving another report of a possible cougar sighting.
Police are warning residents along Sayward Road, Fowler Road, Cordova Bay Road and those around Matticks Farm should be on alert and stay mindful of their surroundings.
The report came in late Sunday evening after a resident alerted police about a cougar in their yard.
Saanich Police Department believes that this was the same cougar that had been spotted two weeks ago.
According to a press release, SaanichPD said that if it was the same cougar, it had been demonstrating some unusual behaviours.
Along with staying alert and protecting their families, police are asking for residents to be mindful of their pets as well.
