UPDATE: The rare brown booby has died.

SPCA Wild ARC said in an email that “her health heavily declined over the weekend as a result of her severe state of emaciation. Our solace is that she is no longer suffering.”

Tube feeding, antibiotics and pain relief were not enough to reverse the bird’s desperate condition.
