Port Hardy RCMP are looking for information after two downriggers were stolen from a boat at the government dock.

Video surveillance shows two suspects pulling up in a red Mazda 3 just after 1 a.m. on July 5, according to RCMP. The smaller of the two suspects then go down to the dock and returns with what police say look like downriggers, devices used to aid in trolling while fishing.

The items are put into the car and two suspects drive off, according to police. They are hoping the public will help identify the suspects.

Port Hardy RCMP are asking anyone with information about the incident or suspects to contact Port Hardy RCMP at 250-949-6335 or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
