A Port Alberni company has taken its place among the leaders of innovation and technology on a global scale.
Coulson Ice Blast was recognized at the Research and Development Magazine’s 55th annual R&D 100 Awards with one of the “100 most technologically significant new products of the year.”
That product is the IceStorm90, an industrial cleaning machine that uses ice as the blasting media.
Coulson Ice Blast Vice President Foster Coulson said the machine “uses significantly less water than a pressure washer and can also replace other commonly used cleaning methods and machines.”
“To see the IceStorm90 get recognized as one of the top 100 most technologically significant products of 2017, and be surrounded by so many other innovative companies and organizations, is a real triumph and something we are extremely proud of,” Coulson said.
The R&D 100 Awards are considered to be the most prestigious innovation awards program.
