Comox Valley RCMP are looking for witnesses to an alleged assault in Courtenay on Tuesday.

According to police, the female youth reported that she was assaulted by four people at around 8:30 a.m. as she walked on the trail between Valley View Drive and Valley View Elementary School.

The suspects were all described as teenagers – one wearing baggy blue jeans and “Vans” shoes, another with long blonde hair and black and white checkered shoes, another with brown pants,
and the fourth with white shoes and black and white pants. Police said one of the teenagers was female. One of the suspects is also believed to have been wearing a bright purple hat (toque).

“This is a busy time of day, lots of people likely travelling to and from the area schools. We are hoping that someone saw what happened, or even saw a group of teenagers matching the description provided by the victim,” Const.
