Police are pleading with the public to help them locate a suspect thief who appears to have made a clean getaway.
The Greater Victoria CrimeStoppers says a man walked into a store at Tillicum Mall back on July 4 and allegedly stole a Dyson vacuum cleaner.
“This is a crime we don’t want to see swept under the carpet,” CrimeStoppers said in a recent Facebook post about the incident, adding. “Fabulous followers if you recognize our neat freak then please tell us.”
They say the man loaded the posh product — brand new Dyson vacuums, depending on the model, run from anywhere from $399 to $1,199, according to the company’s website — into a purple and black vehicle.
CrimeStoppers says the vehicle was displaying a licence plate that had A3 in it.
