A Chemainus woman is asking for help in recovering a beloved concrete statue that was stolen from her front yard early Wednesday morning.

The statue of a woman looking downwards, which was purchased in the United Kingdom, was taken at around 4:30 a.m. from Sue Myers’ front lawn. Myers said she had the statue for more than 30 years and it was been on her front steps for most of those years.

“I am absolutely heartbroken,” Myers said. “It is my deepest desire to have her returned.”
