It appears Westhill Stadium, the home of Pacific FC, will be renamed Starlight Stadium.

Toronto-based Starlight Investments has reached an agreement with the City of Langford to purchase the naming rights to the 6,000 seat stadium for the next five years.

The deal is worth between $300,000 and $750,000 and would see the outdoor venue renamed Starlight Stadium. It also includes the option for two five-year renewals.

Pacific FC would receive 85 per cent of revenue from the deal while the city would get the remaining 15 per cent, according to documents available on the city’s website.

Starlight would receive a large marquee sign, signs behind each goal, 10 stadium flags, a 40-foot roadside banner and municipal directional signage.

Although an agreement has been reached, it still needs the approval of Langford city council. Councillors are expected to vote on the deal at their upcoming meeting on Jan. 18.

The 6,000 seat stadium is home to Pacific FC, Westshore Rebels of the Canadian Junior Football League as well as Rugby Canada.

Starlight Investments is a real estate investment trust (REIT) that has recently purchased a number of properties in Langford such as the Kramer property.
