Saanich police say there is no risk to the public after a man was arrested in a residential neighbourhood on Friday morning.
An armoured police vehicle was seen parked outside a home in the 1600-block of Prairie Street before 6 a.m.
The scene was mostly cleared by 8:45 a.m., though a Saanich police cruiser could still be seen in the area.
Saanich Police Sgt. Damian Kowalewich says one man was arrested as part of an ongoing investigation, though few details were available Friday morning.
“There is no risk to the public,” he said in a statement.
