No one hurt after tree falls on vehicle travelling on Trans-Canada Highway near Duncan

A tree fell and struck a vehicle travelling along the Trans-Canada Highway highway near Duncan Tuesday morning.

According to North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP, the incident happened at around 11 a.m. and that traffic was reduced to one lane for a period of time as EmCon Services crews worked to clear the scene.

RCMP also said two people inside the vehicle were unharmed.

Witnesses told CHEK the vehicle was travelling southbound along the Trans-Canada Highway near Koksilah Road.

They said an adult male and a child exited and did not appear to be injured.
