Nanaimo RCMP seeks witnesses of Hammond Bay Road crash Monday

Nanaimo RCMP is investigating a serious crash on Hammond Bay Road Monday afternoon.

Nanaimo RCMP are asking for more witnesses to come forward in their investigation into a serious crash Monday afternoon.

A man riding a motorcycle suffered life-threatening injuries after a collision with a vehicle on Hammond Bay Road at Stephenson Point Road.

The crash happened around 2:30 p.m.

Police say a 17-year-old girl was driving southbound on Hammond Bay Road and was making a left-hand turn onto Stephenson Point Road when her car struck a motorcycle.

She had two passengers in the car. No one in the car was injured.

Police are asking for anyone who saw the crash, provided assistance at the scene or has a dashcam video of the crash or general area, and has not spoken with police, to contact Nanaimo RCMP.
