Nanaimo RCMP are looking for Harley Rae Jackson, a 36-year-0ld man, who they say is wanted for break and enter, and mischief.

On June 25 2019, the owner of the Travellers Lodge located on Nelson Street called police after he heard voices and footsteps walking in the upstairs of the building when there shouldn’t have been anyone other than himself inside the building at the time, according to a media release issued by the Nanaimo RCMP.

Officers attended the scene and discovered “extensive damage” to the building’s interior walls and that it appeared “individuals” had cut through the drywall in order to access copper piping.

A man was located nearby the Travellers Lodge and arrested as the investigation continued. It was later determined through forensic identification that Jackson was inside the building, and an arrest warrant was issued for him, according to the Nanaimo RCMP media release.

However, Nanaimo RCMP have not been able to locate Jackson and are asking the public for any information regarding his whereabouts. He is currently wanted for break and enter, and mischief.

Jackson is 5’9″, 180 pounds with black hair. He also has tattoos on his right and left wrists of  Celtic design.

Anyone with information on Jackson’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345.
