Nanaimo RCMP look to identify suspect after money stolen at local campground
Nanaimo RCMP are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect after an undisclosed amount of money was stolen from the main office of a local campground.
Police say the theft took place on Wednesday at around 6:20 p.m.
Surveillance camera video shows the man walking into the office at the Living Forest Campground on Maki Road and taking the money from a small canister.
He stays In the office for a few minutes before leaving the premises.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian man in his mid 40’s, with shaggy dark hair, a beard and a moustache.
He was wearing a distinctive red, white and black shirt, and grey pants.
