More sunshine Sunday, showers for Vancouver Islanders by mid-week

A strong ridge of high pressure anchored over the southern British Columbia coast kept skies clear Saturday.

Vancouver Islanders can expect another warm, sunny day on Sunday, before the ridge begins to break down, allowing increasing cloud on Monday.

Mainly cloudy skies and showers are expected by Tuesday across Vancouver Island, followed by a mix of sun and cloud and a few showers for the rest of the week.
