Minor injury reported after bus clips edge of building in Central Saanich

One child’s knee was cut with glass after a driver of a bus hit the edge of a building in Central Saanich.

The bus clipped the edge of a building in the parking lot of Centennial Park at around 11:15 a.m. The driver was transporting a Cridge Centre for the Family daycare group with 14 kids to the park.

A window was smashed but there were no serious injuries. One kid’s knee was cut with the glass but the kid was treated at the scene. Police said the rest of the group was shaken up but fine.

“The safety of the children is of utmost importance and we will be looking into the matter,” the Cridge Centre for the family said in a statement.
