Two people are in hospital after a small plane crashed into a residential neighbourhood on Vancouver Island.
Emergency crews responded to Hayden Place in Mill Bay at around 1:25 p.m. Monday after receiving reports about a small plane crash landing.
According to B.C. Emergency Health Services, a total of six ground ambulances and two air ambulances were dispatched to the scene.
One patient was transported to hospital in serious but stable condition while a second person was airlifted to a “higher level” facility in critical condition.
BCEHS did not provide any additional details on the number of people on board the plane or the type of plane involved but said the scene remains active.
