A massive plume of thick black smoke could be seen after a semi trailer caught fire in an industrial area of North Saanich.
Officials have not confirmed any details but many reported seeing the smoke in the area of MacDonald Park and Mills roads, near the grounds of the Victoria International Airport.
A witness told CHEK News the fire appeared to be taking place in a docked semi trailer at a business located near Avenger Way.
He said it appeared that crews had knocked mostly down the fire by the time he left the area at around 6:30 p.m.
