It’s a flashback to the 1990’s for this year’s lineup at the Laketown Shakedown Music Festival on Vancouver Island.
Headliners like the legendary hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan as well as Ludacris will be flocking to the Cowichan Valley for the three-day event that runs this summer from June 26-28.
The ‘Shakedown’ will be hosted at Laketown Ranch near Lake Cowichan – the same venue that features the annual Sunfest Country Music Festival.
Festival-goers can expect it to get ‘Hot in Herre’ with famed rapper Nelly set to take the stage as well as the semi-charmed Third Eye Blind.

The announced lineup also includes a well-represented Vancouver Island flavour as popular artists such as Current Swell, Astrocolor and Vince Vaccaro all boast Victoria roots.
According to the organizer’s website, the event will have a festival village, flush toilets, showers, an array of food options and beer gardens with full-service bars.
Tickets are set to go on sale beginning Friday, February 28 at 10 am and will include options for a weekend pass, single day tickets, and camping.
Last year’s festival was deemed by organizer’s as a hit success, featuring artists such as Snoop Dogg and Incubus.
