People travelling through the Victoria Airport now have a new option to get to the airport — Lucky to Go ride-hailing.

Lucky to Go was the first ride-hailing app approved for the Capital Regional District, and now people can use the service to be dropped off or picked up from the airport.

“We are thrilled to be the first ride-hailing company to serve Victoria International Airport and commit to providing a safe, reliable and economical mode of ground transportation to the public,” said Mandeep Rana, founder, LTG Technologies Ltd.

The company also recently launched an airport and ferry shuttle, but the airport is still in the process of approving the shuttle. Currently the shuttle is permitted to drop passengers off at the airport, but is not authorized to pick anyone up on airport grounds, a spokesperson for the airport told CHEK News in an emailed statement.

“The airport is pleased to welcome Lucky to Go as YYJ’s first provider of ride-hailing services,” said Rod Hunchak, Director, business development and community relations, Victoria Airport Authority. “As air travel continues to rebound and we see more passengers at YYJ, we are excited to offer new ground transportation options for travellers.”
