It turns out you don’t have to be on a cruise to enjoy some piano music on the water.
On Sunday afternoon, Devin Milner had stopped by work in Ganges when he saw three men floating in Ganges Harbour on a raft with a piano. A crowd had gathered to watch the group and listen to one of the men play the piano. Milner then decided to take a video of the interesting musical scene.
Milner said he is friends with the three men, who own a float home in the harbour and have been adding to it for the last few years. The man playing the piano was Nick Tomlinson and Milner described all three as creative.
“For me, this made my day,” Milner said. “I haven’t seen anything like this here in my four years here and very much enjoyed it.”
Milner posted the video to a Facebook group called “You know you live on Salt Spring when…” The video has been shared more than 1,800 times.
