
A high school in the Greater Victoria School District has experienced exposure to the novel coronavirus.
Island Health, over the past 24 hours, added Esquimalt High School to its COVID-19 exposure list.
The health authority says the potential dates of exposure were April 7, 8 and 9.
An exposure is defined by Island Health as a single person with a lab-confirmed COVID-19 infection who attended school during their infectious period.
A number of schools in Greater Victoria, including Victoria High School, Colquitz Middle School, Frank Hobbs Elementary School, Oak Bay High School and Mount Douglas Secondary School, have reported exposures in recent days.
Esquimalt High School is located on Colville Road in Esquimalt.
ADDITIONAL EXPOSURES AT TWO GVSD SCHOOLS
The number of COVID-19 exposures continues to grow in the Greater Victoria School District (GVSD).
School District 61 announced Monday night Arbutus Global Middle School has experienced an additional exposure on April 6.

GVSD also says Mt. Doug Secondary School has more exposures that occurred on April 6, 7, and 8.
