Duncan search warrant leads to 14 drug and firearm charges

A Duncan man is facing a total of 14 firearm and drug charges after police executed a search warrant on Rockridge Road back in July.

During the search on July 8, RCMP seized drugs, paraphernalia and weapons. Health Canada has confirmed the drugs were fentanyl, carfentanil, cocaine and meth.

Eric Derish, 38, has been charged with four counts of possess controlled substance of fentanyl, carfentanil, cocaine and methamphetamine. He is also facing four counts of possess a restricted firearm without being the holder of a licence, three counts of possess firearm with readily accessible ammunition and three counts of possess firearm with serial number altered, defaced or removed.

A second man was arrested at the time of the search. Police said the second man will not be charged.
